Per USP General Chapter <797> (Immediate-Use Compounding provision) and guidance from the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy and North Dakota Board of Nursing, sterile IV preparations compounded for immediate administration may combine no more than three (3) different sterile products per bag. This limits the number of additive ingredients we can safely combine in a single infusion. IV therapy is not a substitute for medical evaluation, diagnosis, or emergency care.
